How
do I order my books online? (not for Open University Students)
- Click on the Booklists link from the Bookshop homepage.
- Type in your unit code and choose your period of study E.G.
First Semester. You can search for more than one unit at time
by repeating this step.
- When you’ve entered all your units click the Search button
at the bottom of the page.
- Put a tick in the check box on the far left hand side for every
title you wish to purchase. NOTE: If you do not
see any books listed click here for more information
- Once you have selected all your titles click the “Add
ALL the 'checked' items to your Shopping List” button at
the bottom of the page.
- Once you have confirmed that all the titles on the list are
correct you can choose your despatch method from the drop down
box, either pickup or delivery. For more information on delivery
times etc. you can go to the Delivery
Methods information page.
- Important: If you change your despatch method
you MUST click the “Recalculate order total” button
to reflect this change in the pricing.
- Once you have chosen your despatch method, click the “Confirm
the above order” button to continue.
- Next you will be asked to enter your delivery and contact details.
We strongly recommend that you provide your full name and a contact
number.
- Once you are satisfied your details are correct, click the
“Pay Now” button at the bottom of the page.
- From there simply follow the on screen instructions at the
secure transaction website.
I
am an Open Universities Student, How do I order my books online?
- Click on the
Booklists link from the Bookshop homepage
- If you want to just order the SSK12 (Introduction to University
Learning) reader please visit this section
- Type your unit code in the “Unit Code” box. EG:
PTR100
- In the dropdown box to the right of the Unit Code box choose
“Open Universities” from the list.
Important: No books will be displayed if you choose incorrectly.
Text must read “Open Universities”.
- You can search for more than one unit at time by repeating

How do
I order my SSK12 (Introduction to University Learning) reader online?
The process is the same as ordering other books
except in the Unit Code box you type SSK12.
Don’t forget to change the drop down box to “Open
Universities”
I type
in my Unit Code and click Search, but no books are displayed for
me to order.
The bookshop website will only display titles that are currently
in stock. Once a title is in stock and available it will be displayed
on this list.
If you are an Open Universities student ensure that you have
chosen the “Open Universities” option next to the
unit code box. For instructions on how to do this click
here.
If you are not sure if your unit has a booklist you can find
out by clicking on the Complete
Booklist link on the Booklist main page. Simply choose your
unit, click Search and check to see if there are any titles listed.
If there is no information or you unit is not listed, the Bookshop
currently does not have any information at this time. We suggest
you check back with us periodically.
NOTE: You cannot order books from this area.
To purchase books you need to return to the Booklist
main page.
How long
will it take to receive my order?
Picking Up:
Please allow 1 working day to process your order. Photo
ID must be shown on collection, which can be either a current
driver’s license or your student ID card. You must also
provide a signature to acknowledge that your order was correct
at the time of collection. For security reasons no orders will
be released without valid photo ID.
If you’ve chosen to have someone collect books on your
behalf please read the question below for important
information.
Delivery
Please allow 2-3 working days for delivery within Australia.

I have chosen to pick
up my order, can someone else collect it on my behalf?
Yes, you can elect to have someone collect your order on you
behalf. As your order is pre-paid and to eliminate the risk of
fraudulent pickups we will require a written authorisation from
you, stating, the full name of the person who is to collect your
order, your student number and your signature.
For your convenience we suggest that you state these details
in the comments box at the bottom of the Name and Address page
when placing your order online. Your signature is not required
if details are stated during the online order process.
The nominated person must still provide photo ID and a signature
when collecting your order.
No orders will be released without the appropriate authorisation
or ID.
How else
can I order my books if I don’t want to purchase online?
FAX:
If you don’t want to purchase your books online, you can
fax us your order with your credit card details on 08 9310 7365
using this printable form.
EMAIL:
The bookshop will also accept email orders. Simply send us an
email with your name, address, unit code and booklist to bookshop@murdoch.edu.au.
We strongly recommend that you DO NOT send credit
card details through email. Provide us with a daytime contact
number in your email and we will call for your credit card details
when your order is being processed.
PHONE:
The bookshop does not currently accept phone orders. To provide
the best possible service to you we require a hard copy of any
order.
POST:
If your preferred method of payment is cheque/money order, or
if you simply would prefer to post us your order, pop it in an
envelope and send it to the address below.

Can
I purchase my books for both semesters all at one time?
No, As booklists and courses change from semester to semester
the bookshop only stocks titles being used for the current semester.
